MJ – What now?

I’ve loved reading all your comments concerning Max, Jane, and Donovan. Whether or not I agree with your thoughts, I love the fact that you have such strong ideas and beliefs. I think the past few blogs have been the absolute climax of my plot line and as of this Thursday, we begin our descent into the denouement. I know it’s been frustrating for many of you this month, but the end is near.

And speaking of the end, MJ Vol. 2 is done on my part, but will take a bit of time being released. It needs to be looked over a few more times for grammatical, structural and conceptual errors.  I also like to write out a story ahead of time, and sit on it for a bit. It all needs to make sense to me. I’m pretty sure you’ll be happy with the ending no matter who ends up with whom. Each person has his and her own destiny that can’t be fought.

Between my kids’ different schedules this summer, and our scheduled summer trip, I’m hoping to have Vol. 2 released before the blogs are done. The last blog is slated for Aug. 26th and with a little extra effort, MJ Vol. 2 might come out earlier, if all goes well.

Thank you for loving, hating, being heart-broken for my flawed characters. As crazy as it sounds, I don’t think these characters are much different than we are in daily life. Getting to intimately know someone in the course of seven months, you see the good, the bad, and the ugly. Like I’ve said in the past, this is like reality TV, except it’s a fictional (reality) blog. I hope you’ll be a bit more patient with our lead characters as they are learning much right now, navigating their way through this game of life.

HI DW, I have really enjoyed these blogs – but the constant merry go around with Max and Jane is starting to wear thin. Max runs away from commitment, Jane doesn’t know what she wants; or maybe she does now that she has kissed Donovan!. I am hoping that the kiss between Jane and Donovan is that earth moving that they realize they are meant to be together and that they end up using the air tickets going to Vegas and having a quick wedding.

Thank you for sharing your writing gift with your Reiders! I’m looking forward to what’s next for these characters. (and I can’t wait to see how things finally play out in MJ) I don’t know if I’ve ever been this consumed by a book before. Maybe it’s the format of only getting bits and pieces every couple of days that makes me feel more engrossed and addicted to this story. The “blog style” is interesting and is definitely garnering attention. The only thing that I don’t like is the emotional carryover that I feel waiting for the next blog. I feel like I get stuck with one emotion for a couple of days while I wait for the next blog to come out. That’s a compliment to you for being able to create such strong emotions in your Reiders. I’ll definitely get part 2 of of MJ when it’s available, as well as any future books that you publish. Maybe that LV purse isn’t that far off for you! I like being able to escape into someone else’s world for a while and forgetting about my troubles. (how can I stink about my stresses when I’m enthralled in your stories) Thank you!

My sentiments exactly Terri! After I read a blog, it sits with me emotionally as well. Then I’m on pins & needles until the next blog, it’s a nice escape from my ‘real’ world. As always, DW, you never disappoint.

P.S. Sooo much better than reality TV, but still an addiction (just a much better one) 😉

Good, I would hate to think that there wouldn’t be any more to Reid! Love this family of characters. I love to escape into their lives and leave my baggage for awhile. Thanks D.W.!

  4. I’m so glad more is on the way. I can’t remember when I have been so invested in a story. I found myself staying up until 2 am to read the next blog. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to UA

I love your work. It takes me out of my ordinary life and takes me into another one even if its imaginary but it’s a way to disconnect. You sure know how to take me into your story. I would really wish it wouldn’t end but sometimes good things need to end to begin another step in life. Please do continue taking us into that imaginary world where we can forget about our problems , bills, husbands and even our kids. Thank you.

After reading your exemplary review of our comments, I cant help feelling choked up, happy and saddened the end is near. Getting to know the Reid’s, Davis’s and Taylor’s reiding thier stories is a great escape. Please continue writing about other characters interjecting information about past characters as you have in M&J and I imagine in UA too. <3 your stories!
