Max & Jane’s Story Vol. 2

INDELIBLE LOVIN VOL TWO EDITED (Final)Finally!  The answer to all your questions.  Vol. 2 starts from the night Jane finds out that Max and Hannah, his high school girlfriend, had made a baby together – all the way to the end of MJ’s saga.  Of course there are lots of bumps along this road, but no matter the circumstances, we root for Max and Jane to weather the storm and to find their HEA!

In addition to the blogs from Jane’s perspective, there are a few extras at the end of the book.  Max speaks in four, Emily has a blog of her own, Jake has his say in one, and even Donovan speaks towards the very end.  Though these extras would have made more sense in between Jane’s blogs, in order to keep the continuity of her voice, I placed them at the end.  If you wish, you can go over the blogs once again, this time adding the different voices where they fit, chronologically.

I hope the ending was what you as a Reider expected and desired.  Once I finished the blogs, I knew I had created something special for Max and Jane.  These two grew up a considerable amount since they first reunited in December.  At times, the scrutiny on Max and Jane was severe, but in the end, I think we all loved who these two became as an individual and as a couple.

For those of you who rooted for a Jane-Donovan connection, I’m sorry you were disappointed.  But from the onset of the blogs, the title was written as Max & Jane.  And though I did my best to use every trick up my sleeve to send you in the wrong direction, I knew the title would not change.  I promise you though, Donovan will not disappoint in his future starring role.

Unlikely Attraction was (purposely) the worst kept secret in MJ’s blogs.  When this book is published, you will see a completely different side of Delaney Reid and Donovan Taylor.  The snippets Jane gave us from her point of view does not come anywhere near the whole story that makes up Delaney and Donovan.  Your heart will be broken, you will feel triumphant, the tears will fall, and laughter will ensue throughout the entire book.  This book will make you nostalgic of your first love – that first kiss, the giddy laughters, the broken hearts.  Delaney will take you on a journey from the day she fell in love with a man more than ten years her senior, and you’ll liken your first crush to hers, while watching the love that develops between these two characters.  Every one of Delaney’s stories will be like watching Cinderella continually placing one foot in the Ball, only to have it pushed right back to her cinder-life.  Once you get a taste of this brilliantly hilarious girl, I dare you to try and dislike her.  It will be hard not to cheer her on to victory.

For those of you who need to (re)read this story, MJ Vol 2 can be purchased through Amazon, iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Smashwords.

I really wish we could see Max and Janes wedding and more about Delaney and Donnie’s kids. Also is Emily pregnant again?? Hmmm maybe your last of the Reid’s should be catch up. We should get a great ending like that. I really don’t want to stop reading their stories though and I feel like with Nick and Bee we will see more of the Taylor’s life …

  2. Summer says:

Will volume 2 be available on Kindle? I loved it so much I want to purchase it.

  6. Terri says:

I loved, loved, loved this book. I’m addicted to the characters. I’m glad that there was a happy ending. I think that you left room to be able to add to these stories in the future!! I love the fact that you keep all of your characters involved with each other. It may have been Max and Jane’s story, but Jake and Emily where still a huge part of things, as well as the rest of the family. I’m hoping that this continues through your future books. I’m with everyone else, I’d love to see the Max/Jane wedding and I’d love to see how they would react to a baby being added to the mix. (even if you decide to do a Part 3????) I’d love to see what happens in the future for Nick, Garret and Josh. I definitely want more!

(I’d also love to know how that conversation went between Donovan and Max (and the guys) at the christening. That’s a lot of testosterone for one conversation.)

Keep up the awesome work….we’ll keep Reiding. The way that you allow your Reiders to feel everything that the characters are going through is a testament to your writing. I think I felt about every emotion out there while reading this book. I laughed and I cried right along with your characters. I’m happy that there is now peace for Max and Jane.

I loved the Volume 2 of Jane and Max’s blog even better than the first. I can’t wait to read laney and donovan’s story.

  8. Thank you for the HEA . Loved the book/blog format, although I’ll miss the twice a week postings.
I really liked the way you tied in UA at the end. Now I’m waiting to Reid that book. Keep it up DW, I’m a fan for life! Tried to leave a review on Amazon, but the smart phone isn’t behaving itself right now

  9. Lori s says:

  13. Kimberly says:

I LOVED this book. I laughed and cried with Max and Jane. I loved their passion with one another and their fiery personalities. I would have loved to have seen more into their future, where she ends up city wise for her job, etc. And eventually a wedding. Will that show up in future Reid-books?

  14. Karmine says:

Wrote my review in Amazon for this book, it was amazing DW Cee. Keep those stories coming. Although at first, I’m not exactly looking forward to the Delaney and Donovan story, after thinking about it. I actually do want to see it. Emily and Jake were the perfect couple (in my opinion, that is) and Max and Jane were the couple who were so passionate they kept clashing. Now Delaney, almost similar to Emily’s kindness, tenderheartedness and such will be paired to Donovan passionate, headstrong (i guess), and somewhat clueless. These characteristics are what I have for Delaney and Donovan right now. For me, it’s like their relationship is a peek to what we might have seen if Emily and Max ended up together. Just a tiny bit. I can’t wait for Unlikely Attraction to come out. And will we ever see Nick’s life? (please say yes, satiate my curiosity please! :P)

LOVED the way Max and Jane’s story played out. I was initially hoping Jane and Donovan would either date or become a couple. But everyone ended up perfectly with their mate. I can’t wait for UA — I’ve always liked Donovan, and now I’m reallly starting to like Laney. LOVE YOUR writing, keep those wonderful/addictive stories coming our way. :)

Let me try and answer a few of the questions. I know many of you wanted a wedding but since Max and Jane’s blog was “real” time, I couldn’t throw in a wedding unless they eloped in Italy somewhere. You will continue to get glimpses into their lives in UA. Don’t forget, Max is still in med school. To be honest, you probably won’t see them get married in UA, either. UA has a very short time frame once the story gets to the present.

Unlikely Attraction – I can’t write it fast enough. I’m still in the Mo(u)rning phase and I hope to be out of it be the end of next week. Then I have A (new) day, and (K)night to write. I’m almost 200 pages into the book and don’t see an end in sight. My trip to Europe inspired me plenty, but I can’t give you a finish date.
But, once MJ is done, I do have a small surprise for you all so wait for that big reveal mid-August.

I’ve started tinkering with another blog idea for possibly late 2013, but that’s in the doodling-around phase. I have nothing concrete. Plus, I also have about 30 pages of a book from a male POV. So many projects, so very little time. Bring on more questions…

I really loved and in joyed it. I have always been a fan of Max. I loved the extra blogs and can not wait to read UA with Donovan and Delaney. I Was not disappointed at all. I am feeling a bit upset that I have finished it now. When should we be able to read UA?

  18. Anonymous says:

Loved it! I wasn’t a fan of the Donovan/Laney thing, but the way you wrapped it at the end of this book made me see some hope for liking that pairing, especially once it was revealed that Laney crushed on Donovan from the time she was young. Can’t wait to read their story and the next Reid/Davis/Taylor novel! I’m guessing it will be Nick’s turn next??

  19. Lizzy says:

DW thanks that was once again great , I was always faithful to Team Max even though I was harsh on Jane a lot. Max and Jane finally realized the most important thing was each other. I’m also happy laney and Donavan seem to be working out cant wait for unlikely attraction. Will we get to read about Jane and Maxes wedding in UA ?

  20. DCT says:

DW, YOU ROCK! I just finished Volume 2 and left a glowing review on Amazon . These characters and stories have completely captured my heart and I have loved every minute of it.
I think that what surprised me the most, was Jane’s growth during the course of this blog; she often got on my last nerve, lol, but in the end, she really, really redeemed herself. I’m so excited for Donovan and Laney’s story, I can hardly wait! Thanks so much for all the fun!

  21. Anonymous says:

I loved it and am ready for the Donovan and Leany book! Max and Janes story was really good and am looking forward to reading about the rest of the Reid family!

  22. Katherine says:

I have to say that I absolutely loved this story and I loved how it wrapped up in the end. This was my favorite book of all your books. I liked Jane because she felt real, not perfect. She grew, matured, and became more aware of others and more selfless in the end. Max grew a lot as well. I loved how they were able to forgive and forget, and own up to each other’s roles in their relationship troubles. I will share with my friends and hopefully they will become fans as well.

My only disappointment is that I was left wanting more. I want to know more. I would’ve loved to see them get married, learn how their move (NY or London) would affect them, and even see them through pregnancy/parenthood. I enjoyed following up with Emily and Jake, and probably would enjoy following up with Max and Jane more. Are we getting an glimpse of their future in the other 2 books (UA and the “mystery book”)?

  23. Emma Barker says:

i really enjoyed max and janes story and although max was seriously getting on my nerves in the blogs im glad the way the story ended up cant wait to read about laney and donovan

  24. I love that they got together in the end I just wish we could have had the wedding too like in jakes story. Hopefully in unlikely attraction we will get to that part. Thank you DW for all your hard work and dedication to your fans!!!! Looking forward to the next. When will unlikely attraction be out?
