D.W. Cee

Author of Indelible Love

Something Fun!

With Emily’s Story being free right now, it has catapulted the entire Indelible Love series into the top 300 in iBooks Romance. Yay!

The goings-on in my life

Hello Ladies!

Hope all is well in your lives and you’ve all had a chance to at least start Unlikely Attraction – Delaney’s Story. For those of you who are done reading UA, I thank you for the many wonderful emails and reviews. I know I say this often enough, but it bears repeating that I’m floored with every kind email sent my way. Every day I receive a sweet email concerning one of my books, is like opening a present on Christmas morning – or maybe it’s like Delaney opening up the Chanel jewelry case and finding an exquisite necklace inside. (OK, in all honesty, I think I’d rather find a Chanel jewelry box with jewelry, than a kind email…just keeping it real…)

I wanted to let you know what’s happening in the world of DW Cee. For those of you who follow me on Facebook, you know that the first nine blogs are done. For those who don’t follow me on FB, nor have read UA, OR might to new to my world, I have a new blog making its debut on Dec.2nd! And, the stars of this new blog are Bee Taylor and Nick Reid! Bee is Donovan’s spunky aunt and of course you all know Nick Reid – brother to Jake and Jane, uncle of Ellie and James. This blog will be an interesting one because these two are very similar in nature. They are easy-going and yet independent. They are attracted to one another, and yet don’t want to be tied down. And of course, they are both affected by all the love and romance that surround the Reid, Taylor, and Davis families.

You’ll no doubt see all the other family members in action. There will be glimpses of both wedding preparations (Laney’s and Jane’s), the twins will be growing up right before our eyes, and early on, you’ll meet some new and “old” characters who may or may not become more prominent to this story line. Many times, I know how a story will end before I begin it. But this one is a big question mark in my mind. In short, I’m torn…already! And I’m only a month into the story. Was that too vague, extremely frustrating, you need more, kind of feeling? I’m getting you prepped for the new twists and turns coming your way! 😉

It seems like UA just came out and now I’m onto more projects than I can mentally handle. Near Perfect Attraction – Donovan’s Story is in the works. MJ’s blogs (both volumes combined) will be turned into physical books along with UA, and hopefully ready for purchase by the end of November. And if at all possible, I’m going to start writing about Max & Jane’s wedding. Originally I was going to insert this into MJ’s physical book but I couldn’t get it done in time. As much as I don’t like novellas, this may turn into one. We shall see if I can get all this done before then end of 2013. Just writing about all the to-dos is pushing to take another vacation.

For those of you who are new to my world, welcome! I know through BookBub’s promotion, many of you are discovering me for the first time. If you’ve only finished Emily’s Story, you have an entire month to catch up and join us in Nick and Bee’s Story. For those of you who are old-timers, the offer still stands for a short excerpt of NPA. Send me a screen shot of your Unlikely Attraction – Delaney’s Story review on any of the e-retailers. The excerpt is going out on Friday. Send it in before then. Offer expires on Friday.

Possible missing pages?

I have heard from a few of you and I have experienced myself on my iPhone that some paragraphs or pages might appear to be missing from UA. If this has happened to you, please refresh your iPhone or iPad. This is an EPUB/iProduct issue. There is nothing wrong in terms of book publication. You have everything that Kindle readers have.

For some reason EPUB/iProduct conversion is never as smooth as mobi/Kindle conversion. I know that iProducts are global but I have to say Kindle is superior in terms of book output. If you are still having issues, please email me.

Everybody receive their UA copies?

I have never been more glad to see the publishing of a book. This pre-order business was a harrowing experience and hopefully with the next one, I’ll be better informed and savvier. While going through my iBooks copy of UA, I found few formatting errors/differences from my original copy. This happens sometimes during the conversion process and I don’t know until I go through the book again. This formatting error doesn’t change any of the storyline, but in (New) Day, there are a few texts that weren’t in bold, and a few memories that weren’t italicized. I sent in a new copy so hopefully those issues will be corrected soon.

I am emailing today for several reasons. First, I’d like to thank those of you who’ve written wonderful reviews of UA to both Amazon and iBooks. I’m not on Goodreads, much, so I haven’t checked over there yet. I know most of you are still reading the book, but I wanted to say thanks to those who have gone out of your way to express your love for Donovan and Delaney.

Second, I wanted to give you an update on the new blog! Yes, it’s almost that time again. I’ve been diligently working on the new blog and am on blog #7, currently. It will begin December 3, 2013 and who knows how long it will run. Monday will be our heroine’s voice. Thursday will be our hero’s voice. It’s been interesting writing this way. I find myself in a split-personality situation when I’m writing. I don’t know if I ever confessed that when I write, I take on the role of the character. Rather than method acting, it’s method writing / role “playing.” Anyhow, please let your friends know to subscribe so they can start with all of us. Sometimes your comments are more entertaining / frustrating than my storyline! 🙂

Third, Near Perfect Attraction – Donovan’s Story will be the next book in the Indelible Love series. AND, I’ve submitted it for pre-order today (almost four months in advance)! It’s slated to be released February 11, 2014, the week of Valentine’s Day. I promise with this one, we won’t have the same issues (I think ;)). I’ll let you know if my submission gets accepted and you can pre-order Donovan’s Story. Here’s a little treat for you on Smashwords. Please keep in mind, nothing is set in stone with this book. Even the cover may be slightly altered.

Fourth, (I have a lot of things to say today, huh?) I have physical copies of Emily’s Story and Jake’s Story is done, being printed, and will be shipped to me soon as well. I’m going to the post office today to see how much shipping will be and I will see how I can bundle and make the autographed books cheaper for you to buy, if you so wish. You can also buy them individually.

Last, (there’s a problem when I can’t remember what my last point is…)
…last but not least, I’d love to hear from all of you who have finished UA. Please comment on my website, if you haven’t already on Facebook, which scene you loved the most from UA. Once I read a few, I’ll jump in with my favorite, if I can possibly pick just one!

Have a great day and I’m sure I’ll talk to you very soon.

iBooks Reiders – I got my (pre-ordered) copy of UA!

Check your iBooks accounts.

Happy Reiding (as I know you won’t be sleeping much tonight.)

UA for iBooks, Nook, & Kobo

I apologize for getting you excited about an early release of UA and not being able to deliver the book. Yesterday, I was told by Smashwords that the book would be sent out to the vendors and you’d receive UA, today. After emailing them again just now, I’ve learned that the book hasn’t even been sent to them yet. Why? I have no idea!

The book will be sent to the vendors today which means you will either receive it tomorrow or worst case scenario, the original date of Oct. 24th. I feel terrible for hyping up the book and the early release and not being able to keep my word! As an apology, I’d like to do something extra for you. If you send me an email (dw@dwcee.com) with a pre-ordered status picture, I’ll send you an early excerpt of Donovan’s Story, or I may even write something new – an offshoot of UA. I’m unsure what I’ll do and you’ll have to give me a couple of weeks to get it done and emailed to you.

Once again, if you’ve pre-ordered through iBooks, Nook, or Kobo, send me a picture of your pre-ordered status to dw@dwcee.com, and I’ll send you an extra excerpt of something. Does that do for an apology? I really feel terrible! This indie publishing is giving me extra gray hairs and wrinkles. UGH!

UA is here!

It’s everywhere! Go find it at Amazon UK, Amazon US, and Smashwords.

iBooks Reiders, it’s coming very soon, if it hasn’t already. They’ve taken me off all the pre-order lists. I tried so hard to get the book to you first, this time. But, like anything Apple-related, everything is a mystery over there. Nook readers, yours is coming sometime tomorrow (I hope).Could someone let me know whenever they get their iBooks order?

Enjoy the Reid! Write a review! Let me know through FB, email, or this post what you thought of the book!

Good Friday!

I have some good news for you ladies so you can start off your weekend, right. iBooks has received and uploaded the final copy of UA. I am now waiting for confirmation on Nook, and Kobo and you will all be able to read Book 4 of the Indelible Love series, early next week. As to which exact day, I still don’t know. It’s whenever the e-retailers publish my book. For you Kindle readers, your copy will not be far behind. It may even be published simultaneously. Once again, this is out of my control.

And because I’m in a fine mood this wonderful Friday, and because for the first time since school started our entire family has a free Saturday, I think I’ll send out a teaser!

Laughter came from Emily’s backyard when I crossed the street from Uncle Bobby’s home, after my tea with Gram. I decided not to go back in, and slowly walked home. It was such a beautiful night; I sat on my swing and thought about what I’d like to do when I got to London. Last time I was there, I was a teenager and not very impressed with the gloomy city. Now as a twenty-somethinger, I was sure I’d like the city much more.
“That looks comfortable. Why haven’t you come back to Emily’s party?”
“I was just sitting, contemplating the things I should do when I got to London.”
“And what did you want to do, Delaney? I go there often enough. I could help you sort out your thoughts. In fact, I could probably help you find the places as well. When do you leave? I’ll get there soon after and be your guide.” He waited for me to answer, but I wasn’t going to do so. “What?”
“Nothing.” I said with a broken heart. “I’m going to go in. I’ll see you around?”
I got up to leave, but he held my wrist.
“I asked when you leave so I can come visit you.”
“You don’t have to visit…” I lightly twisted my wrist so I could walk away.
“Why not? Why don’t you want me to visit?”
“You don’t have to come all the way to London to pretend to be my friend. I’ll do OK finding new friends there.”
“Delaney. What the hell is this? What do you mean, pretend to be your friend?”
“One day, you’re my Prince Charming at the ball—holding my hand, paying court, and dancing with me. The next day, you’re my wicked stepmother—ignoring me, embarrassed to be with me, and hurting me. I don’t need that, so no thank you on the tour guide offer.”
     He let me go.

UA features in iBookstore

For those of you with iPhones and iPads, if you go into your iBookstore, guess which book you will see in the “sneak peeks” and “top pre-order” categories? UA!!! It makes me giddy to see UA featured all throughout the iBooks store. Check it out and let your friends know to download Emily’s Story, which is free right now, and to preorder UA.

The Countdown Begins…

Can you believe UA is almost here? It’s finished, uploaded, and ready to be released next week. As soon as I can figure out when the e-retailers have the final copy of UA uploaded on their side, I will release it. I’m unsure when that will be, but it will not be any later than Oct. 24th (I hope). Unfortunately for indie authors, there aren’t too many answers for us. We do the best we can but we are left waiting for our books to be accepted. My hope is to have the books in all e-retailers by early next week.

Some good news for you! At the end of UA, you will find the prologue of Near Perfect Attraction – Donovan’s Story and the first entry of the new blog. I believe the new blog will begin sometime late Nov., early Dec. With this book finally done, I need to catch my breath and regroup. If you haven’t done so, already, I encourage you to preorder UA from iBooks, Nook, and Kobo. You never know when I may release it.
