I know Max is seriously in the dog house after the last two (yes, a little shorter than usual) blogs (you ingrates! 🙂 ) I am writing up Max’s POV recounting what happened the last NINE days, right now. But, I’m unsure when I will finish and post. I have SEVEN baseball and softball games this week as well as ONE golf tournament in Timbuktu. If my kids didn’t like all these sports so much, I’d have them home so I could write all day. But, I don’t have that luxury, so I will get out the extra blog as soon as humanly possible.
Ladies, don’t judge so soon. There’s always two sides to a story.
I don’t know why but my post is not getting emailed to you. This WordPress site just recently got attacked and since then, I’m able to send out some emails and not others. Please go to MJ’s blog to read today’s post for now. I’ll write to WordPress and see how I can fix this. Thanks.
Congratulations to Aleksandra, the winner of our contest. I can’t wait to meet you so I can write a juicy character around your personality. BUT, none of this can be done without an email address. Will you contact me at email@example.com?
And for the rest of you who entered but didn’t win…? A consolation prize…! A very short teaser to last you 15 hours.
The rest of the afternoon was spent basically looking for apartments for Max…and Hannah. It was almost as though they were moving in together, rather than us moving in together.
This contest to beat all contest ends on Tuesday 11:59pm PST. Enter ASAP!
Just to get you through the next three days, here’s another snippet of what’s happening in “Everything’s shot.”
“Yep!” I said with a huge grin. After I kissed him a bit longer with the door WIDE open – just in case any looky-loo was interested in looky-looing – we walked hand in hand towards Max’s car. Every step we got closer to his car, I expected Hannah to get out of the front seat, say hello, and move back. But nooooo! She just stayed sitting, waved hello from the front seat, and had no thoughts of moving back. BITCH! BITCH!! BITCH!!! This was NOT going to be a fun morning.
The race is on!
For those of you just joining the world of DW Cee, welcome! I hope you’ll download Indelible Love – Emily’s Story (which is free everywhere), get caught up as quickly as humanly possible, and join us in the world of Max & Jane.
For all my other friends who’ve been through the ups and downs of MJ’s relationship, I’ve got the link for you to be the WINNER. Not only will you win all four of my books (I know you’ve all read these – give them to a friend), but I’ll name and develop a character after you. I’ve got two possible characters in mind already. I just need your name and several chats, so I can get a chance to know you and get your personality on the mark.
VIsit Book Reader Chronicles and enter, NOW! Good luck to you all.
P.S. Max and Jane have been a bit too happy these days, don’t you think? Too much happiness = a yawwwwwn??? Never fear. I know how much you all thrive on the angst. Here’s the opening scene for Thursday’s blog called “Everything’s shot.”
So the three-ring (three being the operative word) circus continued with us going apartment hunting while the rest of the family attended a golf tournament. I was getting dressed, super excited that my man was coming to take me to look for our future “home” when I got the freakin’ spoiler for the entire month.
“Gem, I’ve got a bit of bad news.”
Crap. Now what? I had no idea what this bad news was going to be, and I really didn’t want to hear about it, but I guess I had to ask.
“Okay. I’m ready to hear the bad news.”
“Hannah is coming with us…apartment hunting.”
Just in time for your Saturday Reid! And it’s formatted correctly, too.
(No word on Kobo & Nook, yet.)
Monday morning, Book Reader Chronicles will do a Spotlight post on the Indelible Love series. Along with this feature, we will run the promo that beats all promos! I’ll give away the usual humdrum set of books that all authors give away as well as…(drum roll, please…!) a chance to be immortalized in either my blog or the new Unlikely Attraction book. I will name a character after YOU, the winner, and develop a story around this character. Sound exciting??? I’m excited for you!
It will be up to me to decide which book you’ll be featured in, and how I’ll develop your character (will you be Cinderella or the evil stepsister? Hehehe!) I’ll send out the link as soon as it goes live on midnight, Monday morning. Hope you’ll all enter for a chance to be immortalized! And thank you, again, to Roshni – my one-woman PR guru for all your brilliant ideas.
As I posted on FB yesterday, MJ’s book is formatted correctly if you read it on a Kindle device. If you’re reading it from an iPad or an iPhone, what happens is, each paragraph, each dialogue, is indented. For all of you receiving this email, you’re used to paragraphs being flushed to the left, with absolutely no indentations anywhere. On an iProduct, even the Table of Contents is indented.
Amazon tells me that their policy is to auto-indent every paragraph. Well, since the non-indented format on the Kindle device is correct, what they’re telling me is not true. But, it’s impossible to change this since there’s no phone number to call and emails are answered every 12-24 hours.
-Read it on your Kindle device if you have one. Everything is perfectly done here.
-Since there is no change to the storyline, just read it with the indentations?!? (A reader told me today that this was her first time with my blogs and she had no idea there was anything wrong with the formatting in the book).
-Wait for the iBooks version? Can’t promise when this will come out. I just got rejected today because my dedication page (once it’s up on every e-retailer, I’ll post the dedication page on my website because I’d love for you all to see it) is a different font style and size than the rest of my book. They are really, really picky! I need to make some changes and resubmit.
-Download from Smashwords. All is good on this site and the great thing about Smashwords is that once purchased from them, you can read on any device – Kindle, Nook, Kobo, iPad, EPUB etc.
Sorry this has been more complicated than it should’ve been. For those of you who’ve purchased MJ’s book and read it on an iProduct, I’d love to hear what you thought of the indentations. Am I just being too particular? Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of all the prologue blogs.
Thanks for listening to my rant and see you all again in 2 1/2 hours.
We’ve got issues with the Kindle version of MJ’s blog book. The format I sent them, and the sample book they showed me is NOT the book being sold. I have emailed Amazon and alerted them of this discrepancy. Please hold off in purchasing the book and if you’ve already made a purchase, I will find out how you can swap the old with the new. Sorry!
Gotta do something about that WordPress timer. I reposted so you should have received today’s blog about a minute ago.
Also, to my UK readers – here’s your Amazon link. I forget that Amazon has different sites for different countries. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Indelible-Lovin-Janes-Story-ebook/dp/B00CCTUNKE/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1366036261&sr=1-1&keywords=indelible+lovin%27+Max+%26+Jane%27s+story
And thank you to reader “R” for the phenomenal UK review!
